A Chief Accountant is required for an investment company specialized in the construction industry based in Dubai, available in UAE to join immediately or on short notice to join.
- Experience in a corporate level, have dealt with subsidiaries/sister companies with a knowledge of consolidated accounts.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior position, and having UAE experience in the construction industry is a MUST. Any candidate doesn't have a UAE experience with a main contractor will not be considered for the position.
- Minimum qualification of Bachelor's Accounting degree or a higher. Preferable having a professional accounting certificate from a reputable bodies.
- Ability to supervise team of several personnel in the department to accurately run the daily accounting operations of receivables and payables, book keeping, banks transactions and reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Well versed in construction accounting methodologies, projects forecast, costing, look ahead, cash flow.
- Preparing the monthly financial reports, closing balances.
- Full knowledge in UAE taxation: Filling of VAT and returns . Corporate Tax.
- Knowledge in GAAP and IFRS.
- Ability to coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Hands of experience in preparing the MCR (Monthly Cost Report) and other management reports in collaborating with operations and commercial departments.
- Excellent knowledge in administrating related bank facilities for construction industry.
- A sound knowledge in administrating company vendors of subcontractors and suppliers.
