Sales Engineer - HDPE Pipes and Fittings

Job Description
We seek a highly motivated and technically skilled sales engineer who specializes in HDPE pipes and fittings to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of HDPE pipe systems, an understanding of the construction and infrastructure industries, and a proven track record in sales. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving sales, maintaining customer relationships, and providing technical support for HDPE pipes and fittings.

Desired Candidate Profile
Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development: Identify and generate new business opportunities for HDPE pipes and fittings in various industries, including construction, Oil & Gas, water supply, and utilities.
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Prepare and deliver product presentations to customers, addressing technical queries and providing solutions.
Technical Support: Offer technical expertise and guidance to customers on product selection, installation, and application of HDPE pipes and fittings.
Provide support in the design and specification phase for large projects, ensuring proper system integration and compliance with industry standards.
Coordinate with the technical team to prepare quotations, technical drawings, and product recommendations tailored to client needs.
Project Management: Collaborate with the project management team to ensure the timely delivery of products and services to customers.
Assist in project planning and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor project progress and address any issues related to product supply, installation, or performance.
Marketing & Promotion: Support marketing efforts to promote HDPE pipes and fittings, including attending trade shows, conferences, and seminars.
Keep abreast of the latest industry developments and technological advancements in HDPE pipe systems.
Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term business relationships.
Provide after-sales support to ensure successful product installation and use.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related fields) or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the construction, infrastructure, or piping industry. Experience in selling HDPE pipes and fittings is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies: Strong technical knowledge of HDPE pipes, fittings, and their applications.

How to Use Keywords in Your Resume
ATS software is not always accurate. So when you’ve found the keywords to put on your resume, you need to include them clearly so that the ATS can read them.
Don’t: Embed resume keywords in images or use fancy fonts.
Do: Use standard fonts and avoid images in favor of plain text.

 

Include a Mix of Skills, Qualifications, and Industry-specific Words
The ideal keywords to include in your resume should be related to soft skills and hard skills.
Other keywords include any certifications you have — as long as they’re specified in the job listing.
For instance, if the job ad for a web developer role mentions “programming languages,” your skills section might look like this:
C++
Java
Python
TypeScript
These languages are good examples of industry-specific terminology. Only people specializing in IT are likely to know what “TypeScript” is.
It’s important to use job-specific resume keywords so that the hiring manager knows you’re familiar with the industry — even if you’re looking for an entry-level job.
Including these words shows you’ve done at least the minimum amount of research, and have an interest in the field.
Also, use synonyms to increase the variety of keywords on your resume. A “programmer” should also refer to themself as a “coder” because these two words mean roughly the same thing, and you never know exactly what terms have been programmed into the ATS.
