Alfaisal University (AU) is a young and fast growing university located in the capital city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It was founded in 2008 as a private not for profit research oriented university, where English is the official language of instructions. It consists of five colleges: Business, Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Sciences, plus the newly established College of Law & International Relation.

College of Law & International Relations will offer a Bachelor degree in Law (LLB) with three concentrations:

Diplomacy & International Relations
Government & Public Policy
International Law

The College has openings (at all levels) in all areas of Law

Qualified candidates (male and female) are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or terminal degree in Law (Preferred post-J.D. experience and credentials include significant legal practice and teaching or similar experience). A demonstrated commitment to excellent classroom teaching is required. Prior law school teaching is preferred, and demonstrate a strong record or potential for high quality research and teaching. We welcome candidates across all areas of law, although subject areas of particular interest include Torts, Commercial and Corporate Law, Civil and Criminal Law, Research Methods in Law with a focus on Law & Social Science Methods, Banking and Financial Law, International Public and Private Law, Labor Law, Civil and Criminal Procedure Law. Preference will be given to candidates with strong research record and potential. Candidates are expected to teach undergraduate levels courses where class size is small.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Evidence of proficiency in teaching, student supervision, and curriculum and program development.
Research and scholarly achievements judged competent and adequate for the relevant rank in comparison with peers active in the same field at a major research university.
Significant national, regional, and international reputation in scholarly endeavors in comparison with peers active in the same field at a major research university.
Ability to work with and lead diverse groups, cultures and communities.
Evidence of significant national, regional, and international networks and collaborations in both teaching and research activities.

The candidate would be expected to teach both introductory and specialized courses, and to participate in the intellectual life of a talented, vibrant and unique legal community. Candidates should have a superior academic record with demonstrable evidence of, or a strong potential for, excellence and innovation in teaching, scholarly research and service.
