Summary
Position Overview: Hyatt Centric Jumeirah Dubai is seeking a highly detail-oriented and meticulous Income/Cost Auditor to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, with a focus on auditing income and cost transactions, verifying that all processes comply with company policies, and identifying areas of improvement for financial reporting. You will play a crucial role in maintaining financial transparency and assisting management in making informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform regular audits of revenue and cost transactions across various departments, including Food & Beverage, Rooms, and other operational areas.
· Review and verify daily revenue reports to ensure accuracy and that income is properly recorded.
· Audit cost control reports, inventory records, and other operational expenses to ensure that costs align with budgeted figures and are properly documented.
· Ensure that all financial transactions comply with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards.
· Assist in the preparation of financial statements by ensuring that income and cost-related entries are accurate and in accordance with accounting standards.
· Investigate discrepancies or irregularities in financial reports and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
· Prepare detailed audit reports for management, outlining findings, risks, and areas for improvement.
· Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing activities, ensuring that all necessary reports and reconciliations are completed.
· Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve financial reporting processes.
· Support the internal and external auditors during audits by providing requested documents and explanations.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a finance or auditing role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
· Strong knowledge of financial auditing processes, including income and cost auditing.
· Proficient in using financial software and accounting systems (e.g., Opera, SUN Systems, or similar).
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
· Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to identify discrepancies.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
· Knowledge of local accounting regulations and compliance standards in the UAE.
· Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
· Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
