Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis II to join our culinary team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a Commis II, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to recipes and chef specifications
Organize and maintain cleanliness in the assigned work area
Operate various kitchen equipment, including braising pans, baking ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing food items
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food production
Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards in all kitchen activities
Support senior kitchen staff in daily operations and special culinary events
Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
Contribute to menu development and implementation of new dishes
Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout service periods
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary diploma preferred
1-2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen or full-service hotel
Proficiency in basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
