Fitness Instructor

As a Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional fitness instruction and guidance to guests. You will help guests achieve their wellness goals by offering a variety of fitness classes and personalized training sessions in a state-of-the-art facility.

What will I be doing?

The Fitness Instructor must have the passion for health and fitness, a commitment to excellence and the ability to create an engaging and motivating environment for hotel guests.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Provide professional fitness instruction and personal training sessions to hotel guests.
Conduct group fitness classes (e.g., yoga, pilates, spin, strength training, etc.) based on guest needs and requests.
Design customized fitness programs tailored to individual guest goals and needs.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the fitness area, ensuring a welcoming environment.
Ensure all fitness equipment is well-maintained and safe for use. Report any issues or needed repairs to the maintenance team.
Stay updated on the latest fitness trends, equipment, and techniques.
Assist in managing the fitness schedule, ensuring all classes and training sessions are properly organized.
Promote wellness services and assist in the creation of wellness programs for guests.
Provide guidance on proper exercise techniques and injury prevention.
Collaborate with the spa and wellness team to deliver integrated wellness services to guests.
Maintain accurate records of guest fitness progress and goals.
Maintain knowledge of health and safety standards and ensure all activities comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.

A fitness instructor typically needs a combination of formal education, certifications and practical experience to be well-prepared for the role. . To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:

Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Physical Education, Health & Wellness or equivalent is required.
Certification in fitness training
Previous experience in teaching a variety of fitness classes in a luxury or high-end hotel environment.
Additional certifications in specialized fitness areas (e.g., yoga, Pilates, TRX).
Multilingual abilities (optional but preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and engage guests of all fitness levels.
In-depth knowledge of fitness and wellness trends and practices.
Ability to design and lead various fitness classes.
Strong organizational skills, planning skills and attention to detail.
CPR and First Aid certification
Flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.
Ability to work under pressure
